WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO TRY TO VOTE ABSENTEE IN PERSON AT YOUR REGISTRAR'S OFFICE, or apply for an absentee ballot to vote by mail (but allow lots of time).

We offer FREE, volunteer-provided, nonpartisan voter assistance in Albemarle County and the City of Charlottesville, and volunteers do not ask for whom you are voting. 


We are currently offering socially-distanced assistance with absentee voting during this pandemic. Our volunteers will be happy to arrange a convenient time to provide assistance for you to vote absentee. I

Most UVA students who live in University housing vote at Slaughter Recreation facility behind O-Hill Dining Hall. This was new as of 2018.
